🟦 Part 2 – Cue Card
📝 Describe a time when you gave advice to someone. You should say:
Who you gave the advice to
What the advice was
Why you gave the advice
And explain how they reacted to it
Model Answer: A time I gave advice that really made a difference was when my younger cousin was feeling quite confused about choosing her career path. She had just completed her 12th standard and was unsure whether to pursue engineering like her parents wanted or follow her passion for graphic design.
One evening, we sat down together and had a heart-to-heart conversation. I told her that while parents often want the best for us, it’s also important to listen to our inner calling. I shared my own story of switching from science to digital marketing and how that choice changed my life for the better.
I advised her to research career opportunities in graphic design, talk to professionals in the field, and even try some free online courses before making a final decision. I emphasized that passion often leads to excellence, and when you truly enjoy your work, success tends to follow.
She was quiet during our conversation but seemed thoughtful. A week later, she called me and told me she had enrolled in a short design course and loved it. Eventually, she convinced her parents too, and now she’s doing really well in her bachelor’s program in design.
This experience made me realize how powerful advice can be when it’s timely and honest. I felt proud that I helped her gain clarity and confidence in her decision-making.
